As the founder of the company, Marlene, alongside Jesse, began their journey in Monterey, California, with just one truck and two employees. Through relentless dedication and a commitment to exceptional service, they quickly grew the business, expanding to multiple locations within four years and establishing modMOVERS as Northern California’s leading moving company.
In 2019, under Marlene’s leadership, the company transitioned from operating solely within the state to obtaining Interstate authority, enabling them to offer moving services across state lines.
For over nine years, Marlene and Jesse have been devoted to serving their residential community through the moving industry. Building on their longstanding commitment, the family has decided to shift their focus toward providing specialized services, including commercial moving, hotel installations, and senior transitions. While chicMOVERS' primary focus is now on these areas, they remain dedicated to delivering exceptional residential and specialty moving services.
Their family business is a true labor of love, with contributions from their son Joshua, daughter Vanessa, and her husband Manuel. Together, they ensure every move is handled with the utmost care and attention to detail.
